Nomadic Soundscapes is a field recording and ambient project created by traveler and sound collector Jacob Riley. Through long journeys on foot and by bike, Jacob records the world as he finds it—rivers breathing in the early hours, distant church bells drifting through fog, footsteps inside ancient streets, the soft hum of night forests, and the pulse of cities seen from the margins.
Every release is a memory of a place and a moment in time. No studio re-creation. No artificial atmosphere. Just the raw, unfiltered presence of the world around us—curated, shaped, and shared for deep listening, meditation, film, sound design, or simply slowing down.
Nomadic Soundscapes exists for listeners who want to travel without moving: to feel space, distance, subtlety, and stillness.
